In this 3-session course we will take a whirl wind tour through the history of the modern state of Israel. Touching on key moments, people and questions, this engaging course will move at a fast pace in order to empower you with the key narratives, facts and moments that most shaped the founding and development of the State of Israel. This course is great for professional looking to learn more about Israel or looking for a new model of teaching, participants can expect to learn several core ideas and frameworks related to teaching and learning about Israel.

Instructor Bio:
Rabbi Mike Uram, Executive Director and Campus Rabbi for the Hillel at University of Pennsylvania.
Rabbi Mike Uram is the executive director of Hillel at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top Hillels in the country. He has been recognized by the Forward as one of the fifty most influential Jews in America and by Slingshot for leading one of the most innovative and inspiring organizations in North America. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of Jewish innovation and engagement to organizations around the United States.
