One-time, online, 60 minute session
Six to eight weeks before each holiday, Hillel International will offer a 60-minute online session for folks who are looking for a new twist on the basics. The first half will focus on why that holiday matters – themes, ideas – and bridging the barriers you might have to celebrating. The second half will be an interactive workshop on how to animate the holiday on campus with students. You’ll leave feeling connected, confident, and ready to celebrate!
- Wednesday, August 29th,1:00pm - 2:00pm EDT / 10:00am - 11:00am PST
Rabbi Jordan Braunig, Director, Initiative for Innovative Community Building, at Tufts Hillel seeks to give students the tools and the confidence to construct a meaningful Jewish life for themselves. Jordan’s work as a rabbi and community builder combine his passion for conversation, text, and rambling walks with his desire to see a more robust, dynamic, and diverse Jewish community on campus. As the Rabbinic Director, Jordan mentors, teaches and, most importantly, learns from the fellows who are a part of the Initiative for Innovative Community Building. Having received his rabbinic ordination at Hebrew College in Boston, Jordan cherishes pluralistic practice, the wisdom of ancient sources, and fermented foods.
Participation in all Hillel U offerings should be agreed upon by the participant and their supervisor (unless the participant is a director).
