Full course description
In 2016, Scubi Jew students at Suncoast Hillels felt it would be a meaningful experience to reverse the process of Tashlich and remove human "sins" from the water. So, they conducted the first “Reverse Tashlich” and organized a cleanup of the waterfront on campus. In 2018, 307 participants at nine clean up locations, including four Hillels across Florida, removed over 650 pounds of debris from local waterways. Now it's your turn, in 2019 we hope to bring Reverse Tashlich to Hillels across the country. Are you interested in learning how you and your students can repair the sea? All you need is a nearby body of water, and a commitment to Tikkun Olam. Join the online session to learn how to host a Reverse Tashlich on your campus.
This session is for:
All professionals, particularly those interested in finding out a great program for Tashlich!
This session takes place:
- Tuesday, July 23rd 2:00-2:40pm EST / 11:00am-11:40am PST
Shayna Cohen, Scubi Jew Program Coordinator, Hillels of the Florida Suncoast
