The session will focus on basic parsonage requirements, the ministerial services and sacerdotal functions that must be performed in order to claim parsonage, the importance of accurate job descriptions for those who claim parsonage, and the need to maintain detailed parsonage records in the event of an audit by the IRS. 

This Course is for:
Clergy and Executive directors who are declaring parsonage or who have staff that claim parsonage

Instructor Bio:
Michael Gan, is a partner at Peer, Gan & Gisler LLP in Washington, DC. He maintains a special practice representing clergy in contract negotiations and other employment matters, has authored numerous articles and book chapters on clergy legal issues, and frequently gives presentations on employment contract best practices at clergy conferences.
