Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer's recently published Courageous Leadership: The Challenges Facing Jewish Leadership in a Partisan Age, identified the campus as the epicenter of the challenges facing Jewish professionals. He clearly identifies the complex web of tensions Hillel professionals navigate relating to campus dynamics and values, pluralism, students and lay leaders. Join Yehuda, Tilly Shames, Executive Director of University of Michigan Hillel and Rabbi Ben Berger, VP of Jewish Education for a conversation about these tensions and the path we might pave going forward.

Instructor Bio:
Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer, President of the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America.

Dr. Kurtzer is a leading thinker and author on the meaning of Israel to American Jews, on Jewish history and Jewish memory, and on questions of leadership and change in American Jewish life.
