Full course description

Description: Hillel has always been on the cutting edge of Jewish innovation because we work with such a young and dynamic population. Finally, there is a book that tries to capture the best engagement methodologies from Penn Hillel and the entire Hillel movement. This session will be an inspiring deep dive into the best ways to innovate, to reach more students and to do it in more meaningful ways. In this session you will get an overview of the book ("Next Generation Judaism: How College Students and Hillel Can Help Reinvent Jewish Organizations," written by Rabbi Mike Uram and capturing insights of dozens of Hillel professionals).  We will explore how you can use the book as a resource for yourself, your staff, student leaders, and volunteer leaders.

Instructors: Rabbi Mike Uram is the Executive Director of Penn Hillel.  Rabbi Josh Bolton is the Director of the Jewish Renaissance Project and Senior Jewish Educator at Penn Hillel.

Intended Audience: Open to all.
