Full course description

Description: Our college campuses, student communities, and specifically, the Jewish student community, are more diverse than ever.  As we work as leaders to deepen understanding and sharpen skills as related to our students, the larger campus community and concepts like Justice and Intersectionality, we experience both challenges and opportunities. In this session we will grapple with relevant case studies, share experiences, engage in robust dialogue, and explore different ways to strategically approach leadership dilemmas specific to your work and roles.

Instructors: Ilana Kaufman is the Public Affairs and Civic Engagement Director, East Bay, for the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Community Relations Council.  Lauren Schuchart is the Associate Director at Berkeley Hillel. Danielle Natelson is the Simha and Sara Lainer Director of Jewish Learning and Leadership at Hillel UCLA.

Intended Audience: Open to all who want to explore how lenses of justice and intersectionality relate to our work.  Those who work directly with students are particularly encouraged to attend.
