Description: NOTE: This training will take up two workshop slots - YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR BOTH: Tue 2:30-6 and Wed 9:30-11. Workshop Purpose:  * To develop practical skills and tools for guiding others through productive conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice.* To provide a forum for Hillel professionals to address their challenges and aspirations as campus teachers and facilitators of Jewish social justice work.* To experience well-facilitated conversations about racism, anti-Semitism, diversity and social justice that will support the ability of campus professionals to intervene and deal with hot-button issues and challenges that can arise within campus work.* To learn specific tools for designing and facilitating various types of conversations and processes to move relationships across difference and social justice work forward.* To build a network and community of practice around facilitation tools with other Hillel professionals.

Instructors: Yavilah McCoy is the CEO of the national diversity consulting group Dimensions Inc.  She is an educator, activist, and diversity practitioner who has worked extensively within multi-faith communities to increase racial justice and expand equity inclusion across diverse communities.  

Intended Audience: This two-session training training is for professionals who have experienced Yavilah's trainings in the past and who wish to deepen their learning and facilitating the skills listed above with other staff and students.  MUST SIGN UP FOR BOTH SESSIONS: TUE 2:30-6 AND WED 9:30 -11.
