Description: In the face of escalating anti-Semitic and anti-Israel incidents on many college campuses, education and support for Jewish students are critical for their safety, self-esteem and strong Jewish identity. This interactive workshop will highlight the role of Hillel professionals in providing support to students dealing with anti-Semitism and anti-Israel bias, and specific strategies which they can use to more effectively understand and respond to such incidents. A range of issues will be covered, including: stereotypes and prejudice, hate speech/free speech, vandalism and anti-Israel incidents.
