Full course description

Description: Workshop participants will develop an understanding of the need for a well designed database for student tracking, donor stewardship and overall efficient management of constituent data (students, parents, alumni and friends). We'll start from the basics and review best practices of how to capture constituent information and organize it in a way that makes for efficient and effective use of the data.

Instructors: Joel Miller has been the Development Director for Hillel at Miami University (Ohio) for 6 years.  Janel Carpenter is the Assistant Director, Campus Data Services for Hillel International.

Intended Audience: For any Hillel staff person who is faced with developing and/or managing a constituent (alumni, parent, student, etc) database, especially if you are just getting started.
